Standing in the middle of Bangkok, the Grand Palace is a place that everyone with even a slight interest in Thai culture would surely want to visit. This large compound has been the actual palace of Kings of Siam from the year 1782 onwards. Due to the many loops, twists and turns of the building structure and its highly detailed appearance, it is very attractive to studying. Adjacent to the building complex of the Grand Palace is Wat Phra Kaew temple which shelters the Emerald Buddha which represents one of the most valuable religious relics of Thailand. Another famous temple, both in Bangkok, is the Temple of Dawn or Wat Arun. Bordered on the west by the Chao Phraya River this temple has amazing architecture and is located right on the river banks. The principal prang of the temple stands approximately 70 meters tall and crowned by colorful porcelain inlays and seashells. Tourists can go up the tower at the center of the prang via stairs, though they are steep in case you want to get a view of the river and the city. 14. Hua Hin

  Hua Hin being a sea side town on the Gulf of Thailand has been one of the first beach resorts with a royal connection and a relaxed atmosphere.   18. Koh Tao
