Pad Krapow Moo Saap, or fried basil and pork, is a common local food in Thailand. Khao Pad is a simple dish of jasmine rice cooked in eggs, onions and choice of chicken, shrimp or crab. The dish is mixed and flavoured with soy sauce, fish sauce and sometimes a pinch of sugar to bring out the taste and accompanied with cucumber slices and a wedge of lime. This is really tasty and can be take any time of the day serving, it is simple yet enjoyable. Khao Pad, or Thai fried rice, is a beloved local food in Thailand.

  Gaeng Keow Wan or Green curry a curry that we get from green curry paste, coconut milk, green beans, bamboo shoots, eggplant, and sweet basil. 9. Khao Soi

 10. Pla Pao (Grilled Fish)

 12. Kanom Krok (Coconut Pancakes)

 Kanom Krok is made from rice flour and coconut milk, cooked on small round large griddle to from small round pancakes that is crispy in the outside but moist and soft in the inside. It consists of rice flour, coconut milk, and sugar as the paste used in preparing the kettle is from this batter and the kettle is a cast-iron one. At times, they are garnished with the de rigueur lettuce or green onions or corn kernels depending on the preparation. The savory Khua Kling is a southern local food in Thailand.  These are one of the commonly sold food treats on the streets and are suitable for the breakfast or as a snack. . Thai fish cakes, or Tod Mun Pla, are a popular local food in Thailand.

  13. Laab (Spicy Meat Salad)

  Laab, also known as Larb is a spicy meat salad of northeastern Thailand, that consists of minced meat of chicken, pork, or beef to which are added toasted rice powder, lime juice, fish sauce, and freshly chopped herbs of mint and cilantro. This is normally eaten with starchy rice and raw green vegetables. It is spicy and is commonly found in Isaan dishes. Local food in Thailand features a wide range of fresh seafood.

  14. Gai Tod (Fried Chicken)

  Thai fried chicken commonly known as Gai Tod can be obtained from many street vendors due to its popularity as a Thai street delicacy; this is made up of marinated chicken pieces that go through the process of breading where they are coated with a seasoned flour and then deep fried until crispy and Golden brown. The marinade is normally garlic, coriander root and fish sauce, these are the characteristics that give it the Thai flavor. The other type is accompanied by starchy, sticky rice and a spicy sauce or gravy.

 Yam Talay is one of the famous Thai seafood salad consisting of cooked prawn, squid and mussel which is mixing lime juice, fish sauce and chillies and including Thai herbs. Tomatos, onions and coriander are used in garnishing the salad most of the times. This is light, it is tangy and can only be enjoyed when the weather is bit hot. 16. It’s included Fluffy Sticky Rice with Mangoes or popularly known as Kao Niew Ma Muang.

  Northern Thailand

  – **Sai Ua (Northern Thai Sausage) **: Sausage that’s formed from this mixture of grounded pork,combined herbs and spices which includes, Ginger little, lemon grass,kaffir lime leaves, galangal etc . Normally it is grilled and usually eaten with rice and fresh vegetables accompanied by sticky rice. Local food in Thailand often includes fresh ingredients and vibrant flavors.  

 – **Nam Prik Ong**: Pork mince cooked with tomatoes and chili paste and accompanied by vegetables and sticky rice served at the same time.

  Northeastern Thailand (Isaan)

  **Nam Tok (Waterfall Salad): The grilled meat salad with the appearance like Laab but with islices of beefgrilled or pork instead of ground meat. The savory dish, Kai Jeow, is a simple yet delicious local food in Thailand.

 Kai Yang (Grilled Chicken): Grilled and marinated chicken accompanied with sticky rice and som tum. The marinade will commonly contain garlic, coriander root and fish sauce. Local food in Thailand often pairs with steamed jasmine rice.

  Southern Thailand

 Gaeng Tai Pla (Southern Thai Fish Curry) **: A hot curry mainly prepared with fish guts, vegetables and a combination of spices used in southern Thailand. This dinner is spicy and the Thai people commonly accompany it with rice or rice noodles.

 Khanom Jeen (Fermented Rice Noodles) **: This dish is made from soft rice noodles accompanied by a choice of curry and fresh vegetables. The noodles are quite acidic from the fermentation process minus the distinctive bounciness of pasta.
